SUHR CLASSIC S ANTIQUE…YOUR NEW OLD FRIEND

The Classic S Antique features a 60’s C vintage medium neck profile (this custom Classic S Antique HSS features an Even “C” Medium Roasted 5A Birdseye neck) with an Indian rosewood or maple fingerboard and V63 single coils. The Classic S Antique retains many of the original specifications of the Classic Antique, including the SSCII hum-canceling system, nitrocellulose finish, and stainless steel frets. Proprietary Suhr locking tuners and 2-post tremolo provide superior tuning stability.

SSCII System

The SSCII is our proprietary silent single coil system. The SSCII is installed inside the body of the guitar and works with traditional single coil pickups. It reduces 60 cycle hum and has no impact on tone, no batteries to change – just transparent noise reduction.

ANTIQUE NITRO FINISH

The neck and body are finished in an extremely thin nitro-cellulose lacquer that features natural checking and light aging.

SUHR V63+ PICKUPS(Neck & Middle Single Coil)

The V63+ started with John’s V63 design and he overwound it, creating a hotter pickup with more output and incredibly rich tone. Previously referred to as the ‘ML’, we’ve updated the name to help players better understand the tonal response and sound. The V63+ pickups offer a balance of tight lows, focused midrange and smooth top-end sparkle. V63+ pickups incorporate a modified staggered pole piece design to provide an even magnetic field needed to accommodate instruments with flatter neck radiuses and today’s string gauges.

Our most popular humbuckers. The SS, or single screw, series of pickups feature the classic, authentic combination of a single row of adjustable screw pole pieces, and a row of slug pole pieces. These pickups offer the warmth of a vintage humbucker with increased clarity and definition and range in output from vintage to hot.

SSV+ BRIDGE

The SSV+ is like a great vintage humbucker with an attitude. Brighter than the SSV, it provides the best attributes of highly sought-after vintage PAF-style pickups with the extra kick needed to cut through a dense mix, the SSV+ is superb for covering a wide range of genres.
