JTS2 Hot Laura – Alnico 2 Single Coil

Neck: Fat and warm yet open, with a stronger midrange than the 2250’s. Exhibiting the characteristics of the Alnico 2 magnets with an articulate vocal quality and a woody flavor. When compared to the 2250’s there is a little more attack and good power.

Alnico 2 magnets, counter clockwise winding direction on neck and bridge pickups, clockwise winding direction on middle pickups, north pole top on middle pickups, south pole top on neck and bridge. dc specs 6.75 +/-

Middle: Has the same qualities as the neck but reverse wound and with reverse polarity for hum canceling in switch position 2 and 4. When compared to the 2250’s there is a little more attack and good power.

California Special – Bridge High Output Humbucker

Chunky and punchy with great low mids. Big with balanced upper midrange. The tone of this pickup was compared to the voice of James Earl Jones. Strong attack with good sustain.

Alnico 5 magnets, counter clockwise winding direction, screw coil south and slug coil north polarity, 53mm wide f spacing, 50mm narrow g spacing. straight humbuckers have a standard coil layout and slanted humbuckers have a traditional Tyler coil layout with pickup at angle and offset coils. dc specs 17.60 +/-

Add Neck & Bridge Button

This James Tyler SE-HD is equipped with a series/parallel switch for the bridge pickup, letting you toggle between series mode for a full, punchy tone and parallel mode for a clearer, lower-output sound. This adds versatile tonal flexibility with subtle shifts in dynamics and articulation.

Mid-Boost System: Definition & Functionality

The Mid-Boost System is an onboard active circuit designed to enhance midrange frequencies, providing increased warmth, sustain, and punch to the guitar’s tone. It is particularly useful for cutting through a mix, adding body to clean tones, and driving amplifiers harder for a more dynamic and expressive lead sound.
