This limited run of the Gibson Historic 1959 Les Paul Reissue from 2012 features selected hand picked wood materials. The figured maple top, and mahogany body and neck blanks were selected based on visual beauty, grain structure, density, and potential tonal quality. They manufactured a very small quantity of these special 59 Les Paul’s that include a TonePros bridge and tailpiece hardware with deep studs. Also featured are the specially designed Gibson humbucker pickups, based upon the original from 1957, that offer magical magnet/winding combinations for transparent and “live” tonality.
