When Leo Fender introduced the Fender Esquire in 1950, he gave the world one of the first production made solid body electric guitar. These guitars would start a musical revolution that is still being felt in 2020. Made from pine wood and featuring hand-wound 50/ 51 blackguard pickups, these guitars capture Leo Fender’s vision and spread the sounds of Fender instruments like his early lap steel guitars and amplifiers. This wonderful instrument also features 1 neck pickup, extra control plate, and an extra pickguard. With a great mid-ranginess to it’s overall tonality and a comfortable Vintage Compound Radius neck, this time capsule instrument helps you to see how it all got started in Fullerton, California, so long ago.
